Introduction

Welcome to CardFrame. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CardFrame mobile application for scanning trading cards, looking up their market value and managing a collection. By downloading, installing or using CardFrame, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CardFrame you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

CardFrame is a mobile application that lets you scan trading cards with your phone camera — one card at a time, or a whole binder page at once — identify them, see the market price of each edition, and organise the cards you own into collections whose value the app tracks over time.

User Accounts

CardFrame does not require an account or registration. The app's functionality is available without creating one.

Subscription Services

CardFrame may offer optional paid subscriptions that unlock additional capabilities. Where a subscription is offered, the following terms apply.

Plans

  • Monthly plan — billed every month
  • Annual plan — billed once a year
  • Lifetime plan — a single, one-off payment

The current price of each plan, in your local currency, is shown in the app and on the App Store or Google Play listing before you confirm any purchase. Prices may change; a change never applies to a purchase you have already made.

Subscription terms

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings at any time after purchase
  • Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — you must cancel it through the store
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

In-App Purchases

Any purchase made inside CardFrame is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their payment terms. We never receive or store your payment card details.

  • Purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law
  • You agree to pay the price shown at the time of purchase
  • Prices may change at any time, with notice

Free Trial

CardFrame may offer a free trial of paid features. Where it does:

  • A free trial converts automatically into a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends
  • You can cancel at any time during the trial through your app store account settings
  • Trials are limited to one per user per feature

Refund Policy

Refunds are handled by the store you bought through, not by us:

  • iOS users: refunds are processed through Apple's App Store refund system
  • Android users: refunds are processed under Google Play Store policy
  • Please contact the relevant store for refund requests — we cannot process them directly
  • This does not affect any statutory right to a refund you may have under local consumer law

User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app
  • Scrape, bulk-extract or resell the card or price data the app provides
  • Interfere with, overload or disrupt the app or the services behind it
  • Share a subscription with people outside your household

Intellectual Property

CardFrame, and its original content, features and functionality, are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

All trading card game names, logos, set names and card images are the property of their respective owners. CardFrame is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any trading card game publisher. They are referred to in the app only to identify the cards you scan.

Card Recognition and Price Accuracy

CardFrame aims to recognise cards accurately, but recognition can be affected by lighting, glare, sleeves, wear, and cards that exist in several near-identical editions. You should confirm the edition the app suggests before relying on it.

Market prices are estimates drawn from third-party market data and can change constantly. They are provided for information only, they are not an offer to buy or sell, they are not an appraisal, and they are not financial advice. Verify a card's value independently before making any decision to buy, sell, insure or trade.

Privacy

Your privacy matters. Please read our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the app, to understand how information is handled.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the card data and prices it shows will be complete, current or accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardFrame shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the app, including any decision made on the basis of a price it showed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and posting the revised Terms on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app's developer is established, without regard to conflict of law provisions. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country in which you live.

Apple App Store Terms

For iOS users, these Terms are in addition to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. You acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app
  • Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement or discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them

Google Play Terms

For Android users, these Terms are in addition to the Google Play Terms of Service. Purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google Play's payment and refund policies.
